Ever since I can remember, I loved ribs. Zaks was one of the first places I had them along with Captain Americas Hamburger Heaven. Now I have two favourites:
(1) is James Martin’s recipe for ribs & a lovely coleslaw. My husband makes these to eat once the kids are in bed so we can chill on the sofa and not worry about sticky fingers.
(2) is the ones they serve at Yellows. Delia can do little wrong really, I was brought up on her recipes and am the proud owner of many of her books. The Complete Cookery Course has pages marked for crumble, pastry and sponge, to name but a few.
We really should go back to Yellows soon, it has been too long.
tell you what, Hugh Fearnley-Whiuttingstall has got a mean ribs marinade in his Meat book – worth checking out…
Oh I’ll go and have a look, sounds like a good excuse for another cookery book
. And a friend suggested Levi Roots’ sauce, a lot of time and a BBQ. Loving the excuse to make more ribs!
I love the nice long pork ribs .. all we ever seem to get is the short, spare ribs
To be honest I’ll eat pretty much most ribs!
